So, tonight the CME starts Bitcoin futures exchange.

What’s that gonna mean for Bitcoin and cryptocurrency itself?

Well, if last week’s entry by the CBOE has anything to say, it looks like the answer might be “not much”.

I don’t know about you, but I didn’t see much change in the behaviour of BTC throughout the week. All told, lto my ignorant mind at least, nothing changed. Well, except the BTC futures market seemed to be more volatile than the value of BTC itself!

Weird.

Or not.

I dunno.

I don’t really know what’s going on, other than a a bunch of bigwigs spouting off opinion on cryptocurrencies, and blockchain in general. who may or (more likely) may not know anything about what it is they’re offering opinion on.

But, tha’s just my take.

Let’s see what happens this week.

What are your thoughts?
