“KFC Canada presents The #Bitcoin Bucket. Sure, we don’t know exactly what Bitcoins are, or how they work, but that shouldn’t come between you and some finger lickin’ good chicken.”

What an odd post I woke up to this morning when I checked our Twitter feed.

Like many other companies of late, KFC has decided to jump on the cryptocurrency bandwagon.

It would seem that we’re not the only newbies on the block(chain).

Rather than claiming to be integrating blockchain technology into their operations, however, KFC is taking the safer (and more honest?) approach by simply accepting Bitcoin as a method of payment through BitPay for their aptly-named BitCoin Bucket.

And it looks like the promo is working, too.

By 11am this morning they had already sold out!

They will apparently have them on offer again later today.

So, want to trade some BTC for KFC?

Check here and place your order once the special is available again.

Oh, and whoever is managing their Twitter feed has a good sense of humour. It’s worth checking out.
